Been there! Get your name off the credit cards, Close the accts now, so he can't spend you into bankruptcy. He can drag you thru bankruptcy and that will postpone your divorce for months. Get what you feel is your share of the bank acct now, don't worry about his feelings, but be fair. The more you worry about hurting his feelings the longer it will drag on until you are afraid to take what is yours.
Look at the entire relationship as though you were counseling a sister or close friend. Step outside the situation as much as you can. Look forward and plan what you will need to go forward with your life. Good luck. He can contest the settlement after the divorce verdict and that will also go on for months as well. But he cannot stop the divorce. It took me about three years to finalize everything.
